Each year, the Governor's Environmental Stewardship Awards program recognizes exemplary voluntary actions that improve or protect our environment and natural resources with projects or initiatives that are not required by law or regulations. This marks the 24th year for the awards program. Thirty-six professionals from various public and private organizations judged more than 100 nominations to determine the award recipients. The entire roster of 2010 GESA award winners will be announced in the coming months, with the annual awards ceremony slated for June 2010. We will certainly keep you posted on these awards.
